How schools raise funds with a clothing collection

School fundraising tends to ask the same families for the same thing again and again: another sponsored event, another raffle book, another envelope in the school bag. A clothing collection asks instead for something almost every house has too much of, and it costs the family nothing at all.

How a school collection works

You pick a date and we bring the schedule and the vehicle. Families bring in bags of pre-loved clothing and household items in the run-up to it, everything is kept together in one place, and we take the lot away in a single visit. No plastic bags to hand out beforehand, and nothing for the school office to store for weeks.

Bags, boxes, whatever is to hand — we don’t mind what the donations arrive in.

Where the money goes

Straight to the school. The funds raised are paid to you directly and there are no conditions on how they are spent: equipment, enrichment, trips, or a one-off project the budget was never going to stretch to. Every child deserves the best education that can be arranged for them, and the money a collection raises is money the school did not have to ask parents for.

The greener option

Because the collection is arranged online for a known address on a known day, the round is planned properly and nothing is posted through letter boxes to advertise it. What comes in is sorted, graded and sold on to be worn again — so a fundraiser that raises money for the school also keeps a few hundred kilos of clothing out of the bin.
