Children’s Air Ambulance

Children’s Air Ambulance service works to save lives and alleviate sickness, wherever and whenever possible. When a child is too sick to travel, they fly medical teams and bespoke equipment to them from across the UK. They also fly critically ill babies and children from one hospital to another for a specialist care.

The clinically designed helicopter provides a flying intensive care unit for babies and children. All transfers of critically ill children carry an inherent risk-the longer a child is out of the hospital, the greater that risk. With the ability to fly approximately four times faster than a land ambulance, travel time and risk is can be minimised.
